VEX EDR is the cornerstone of VEX in New Zealand and the KIWIBOTS main focus on bringing robotics to secondary school students. With over 100 teams across schools around New Zealand, VEX is saturated withint schools and regions. Matches are played between teams who are randomly assigned into alliances where teams compete to get the highest number of points.
The competition consists of both autonomous and driver operated stages allowing different groups of students to get involved! Using all of the areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) students are able to work in teams to design, build, develop and program robots to compete in the VEX EDR Game announced each year at the World Championships.
